* Hazrat Soodah, may Allah be pleased with her *
* Name and lineage: *
The name of Sooda was from the tribe of Amir ibn Luwi who was a famous tribe of Quraysh. The lineage is: Sooda bint Zama bin Qais bin Abdul Shams bin Abdul bin Nasr bin Malik bin Hal bin Amir bin Luwi. Her mother's name was Shamus. The family was from Banu Najjar. Their full name and lineage is Shamus bint Qais bin Zaid bin Amr bin Labid bin Farash bin Amir bin Ghanim bin Al-Najjar.
* Marriage: *
She was married to Sukran bin Amr who was his father's son.
* Accepting Islam: *
In the beginning of Prophethood, Musharraf converted to Islam and her husband also converted to Islam. Due to this, she has the privilege of being an ancient Islam. Until the first migration to Abyssinia, Hazrat Soodah and her husband remained in Makkah. There was no end to the persecution of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and a large group of Muhajireen was ready to emigrate, so Hazrat Soodah (ra) and her husband joined it. He died a day later.
* Hazrat Soodah (RA) becomes the wife of Prophethood*
Only Hazrat Soodah (may Allah be pleased with her) has this virtue in the wives of the purified ones. After the death of Hazrat Khadija (may Allah be pleased with her), she was the first to enter into the marriage contract of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was very upset and saddened. Seeing this situation, Khula bint Hakim * (wife of 'Uthmaan bin Mazoon) * asked: Do you need a companion?He said yes. The care of the children at home was related to Khadijah (ra). At the behest of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) He greeted him * "Anam Sabaha" * Then he conveyed the message of marriage. They went and Sooda's father performed the nikah. The dowry was four hundred dirhams. After the marriage, Abdullah ibn Zam'ah (brother of Hazrat Soodah), who was a disbeliever at that time, came and found out about this. What a wrath it has become, so that after converting to Islam they always regretted their stupidity and ignorance (Zarqani: 261/3).
The marriage of Hazrat Soodah (RA) took place in the year 10 AH of the Prophet (PBUH). Since the time of marriage between him and Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqah (RA) is near, historians differ as to whether anyone has precedence. Soodah has precedence and Abdullah ibn Aqeel prefers Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqah. (Ibn Sa'd: 36/8/39, Zarqani 260/3)
According to some narrations, Hazrat Soodah (may Allah be pleased with her) had a dream in the life of her first husband. She told him that perhaps the time of my death is near and your marriage will be with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Completed. (Reference above)
* Children: *
She has no children from the Prophet (peace be upon him). Her first husband * (Hazrat Sukran) * left a boy named * Abdul Rahman * who was martyred in the battle of Jalula (Persia). (Zarqani) ...
* Countenance
Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) said that she could not hide from anyone who saw her (Bukhari Sharif: 707/2). That his deal was long. (Zarqani: 459/3)
*Grace and perfection*
Only five hadiths have been narrated from Hazrat Sooda, of which only one is in Bukhari. Among the companions, Hazrat Abbas, Ibn Zubayr and Yahya bin Abdul Rahman (bin Saad bin Zarah) have narrated from him.
* Ethics*
In obedience and submission, she was distinguished from all the wives of the purified ones. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) addressed the wives of the purified ones on the occasion of the farewell pilgrimage and said, “Sit at home after me” (Zarqani 291/3).
Therefore, Hazrat Soodah (may Allah be pleased with her) obeyed this command with such intensity that she would never go out for Hajj again. She used to say that I have done both Hajj and Umrah and now I will sit at home according to the command of God. Saad: 38/8)
Generosity and generosity was also a prominent attribute of hers and besides Hazrat Ayesha Siddique, she was also the most distinguished in this attribute. Once Hazrat Umar (RA) asked the person who sent a bag in his service what was in it? He said dirhams, saying that dirhams are sent in a bag like a palm tree and at the same time he distributed them all. (Asaba 18/8) She used to make skins of Taif and used the income from it with great freedom. She used to spend only in work. (Ibid., P. 65)
She and Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with them) were also prominent in self-sacrifice. They were married back and forth, but since they were very old, when they got old, they suspected that the Prophet (peace be upon him) might divorce them. Let them be deprived of this honor of love. On this basis, he gave his turn to Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqah (RA) and she gladly accepted. (Bukhari and Muslim: Kitab al-Nikah)
*Died*
Once the wives of the purified ones were present in the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). They asked, “O Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)! He said, "Whose hand is the greatest? The people understood the apparent meaning. When the hands were measured, the biggest hand was that of Hazrat Sooda. (Ibn Sa'd: 27/8) But when Hazrat Zainab (RA) was the first to die, it became clear that the Prophet (PBUH) had intended generosity and generosity before raising his hand. 54 AH (cited above) but the tradition of Saqqat is that he passed away in the last days of the Caliphate of Hazrat Umar (AS).
Hazrat Umar died in the year 23 AH, so the year of death of Hazrat Sooda will be the year 22 AH. This is the narration in Khamis and this is the most correct. (Zarqani 262/2) Ibn Abd al-Barr and Khazraji have adopted.
